How I hate when things change, I know sometimes change might be good, but it’s a risk we’re willing to take, because if we don’t change than we won’t ever know what choice was better in life. But the uncertainty of future is something we will not ever control, the only thing we DO control is how we see this as an opportunity for a better future, with a positive thinking. Today I read something so true I want to share with you all: “Worrying doesn’t take away tomorrow’s troubles, it takes away today’s peace”, so this is what I can tell you, live IN the present. Stop figuring out what’s going to happen in tomorrow…. It’s great to have goals, I’m just telling you to live to the fullest because no one knows what’s going to happen in the future. I think the name of the post is perfect for those (…me) who like to run away from their troubles and instead of taking a time to stop and think about it, they just run away without thinking. So, don’t run away from the present, keep a time to rethink things and maybe do something different, and confront your problems, we all have. You will know by the time you rethink again, that you might have the answer already. Lucky for me, this trip on the sea gave me time for myself and relax a little bit of Lima’s busy city. There’s nothing prettier than being on the sea and watch the sun go down, it makes me worship more the beauty of the moment, because I know that in any second the horizon will be just sea.
This week was full of fashion events due to the new openings of so many stores here in Lima. One of them is a Colombian-based one called Maaji, I can´t wait to try on the new bikini they gave me! The other one was at BCBG Max Azria, in which there were lots of discounts, biscuits, champagne and personal shoppers all day…. I was thrilled when they showed me the Runway Collection, I just wanted to stay all night trying on the dresses, they were amazing. The third event was the opening of Sfera, a spanish-based store from El Corte Ingles, which has opened their first store in South America here in Lima! I was shocked when I saw how big the store was! It was a pity I couldn’t visit the whole store, but the accessories and some of the collections were pretty cool. Can’t wait to go there again and buy something. Anyway, here’s my post for today, hope you enjoy it, as much as I did!
Here in Lima, summer is feeling almost around the corner and sometimes you just want to get a bikini and go to the beach and tan all-day… However, the weather changes so quickly in this time of the year that you cannot predict if it’s going to be chilly afterwards. So my recommendation for this “transition weather” are this sweaters, like the coral one I’m using in the photos. They keep you warm, and with this scarf we can use them from autumn to summer. I love the fact that they both are so versatile. Finally, accessories. I love this Hamsa ones, they are so different from what I´ve seen here, more mistique maybe but at the same time fashionable. The whole idea of the combination of this outfit was Boho Chic, which (for me) it’s never going to be off-season. It may reinvent in the future, but the essence it’s going to be the same one. Have a cool weekend and don’t forget to write me either here or on Facebook.
It’s so cool that the weather is changing and you can almost feel the sunny feeling of summer. Eventhough, it’s not that the weather is warm, the sun makes it warmer and at the same time makes you feel happy and gives you energy to want to do things outside. For this shooting, we went to the outers of Lima, in the way of our adventure we found an abandoned (what I think it was supposed to be a Theme Park) and we started our hunt. The place was amazing, and it was a pity it was desolated like a phantom circus. So, we stayed there searching for the spot for the photos and we found a carrousel, pretty as if it was made in the 1800s…. Amazing as our adventure was, it’s my pleasure to share with you what I love most: roadtrips, offroads and adventures! It’s like something like going on a treasure hunt, looking for an spectacular place to do a shooting and then share it here on the blog, it’s my dearest adventure. So let’s not forgive life’s a journey and we must live it to the fullest!
Estas fueron solo algunas fotos de lo que fue la fiesta!!! Cuéntenme, cuál fue su look favorito???
This week has been one of the most exhausting and cold weeks in Lima since so many weeks of pure sunshine. What happened with the sunny days, cold drinks, days by the pool and all those things that makes me love spring. I hope the weather gets better and we can actually do some photos without the gray dark sky.

This week is practically one of the best weeks for all fashion lovers/bloggers, it’s LIF Lima Fashion Week Spring-Summer Edition 2014!!! I can’t wait for the shows to get started…. The only thing that makes me nervous is that I haven’t selected the outfits and I don’t have a clue! Any ideas are welcome!! However, is more than Fashion Week that I’m thrilled of… I think the most important thing are the pieces the designers are going to offer. The amazing manufacturing and craftsmanship are invaluable. I’m so happy to know Peru is evolving in Fashion (aswell as in other industries), and let’s hope soon it becomes a Fashion Capital in South America, like Rio, Sao Paulo or even Argentina… There’s so much to offer and it’s amazing the world can get to see that. I’m so proud of being peruvian. 🙂
Anyway, this shooting was taken in my favorite vintage beach. It’s a pity today this beach isn’t as pretty as it was in the 70s, where our parents used to have fun and was THE hotspot for every party. Hope one day some good investor with vision restores such an amazing place… And coming back to the present, this outfit is also one of my faves, not only because this amazing tunic has double functionality, but because the paisley colors of it goes perfectly put together with the burgundy shorts. I like how it turns out to be exotic in a very Gyspsy sexy way. The first-and-foremost tip to accessorize a trend like this is to put bright accessories, so it gives more light to the face making you prettier and more vivid. Some people tend to confuse this style with the Bohemian, it’s not that it is not bohemian, it’s just a part of it, so it’s ok to sometimes make that confusion. So, let’s be prepared, because this trend is coming and as we saw in the Peter Dundas show in Pucci, the collection was simply amazing and we can recreate some of the outfits of the show by putting on a paisley piece and Voilá…. You got it.
Have a cool start of the week/month!!! I wish you the best!!
